Springfield is a city in Clark County, Ohio, situated in the southwestern part of the state. The city is bordered by Buck Creek, Mad River and Beaver Creek, providing campers with plenty of opportunities for water recreation such as swimming, boating and fishing. Many campsites are lakeside, allowing you to enjoy scenic water views as well as easy access to the water.

Buck Creek State Park

Buck Creek State Park spans 1,896 acres and is a recreational haven that lies in an agricultural area. The park features meadows, wetlands and a 2,120-acre lake. Visitors can choose from 89 electric-service campsites, 22 non-electric campsites and 26 cottages. Facilities and amenities you can enjoy include a marina, a fishing pier, showers, restrooms, a boat ramp, picnic areas and bike rentals. Many water activities are available right on camp, including swimming at the 2,400-foot sand beach and boating or fishing from the pier. Hiking trails are also available in the park--trek the 7.5-mile Buckhorn Trail, the 2-mile Lakeview Trail or the 7.5-mile Bridle Trail.

Rei Lakes Campground

Rei Lakes is situated in more than100 acres of land with over 60 acres of lakes. Visitors can fish and enjoy the camp's two miles of shoreline. Tent and RV camping are accommodated; RV sites offer full hookups and tent campers can enjoy waterfront spots. Fishing is the main activity on camp, and the lakes are well-stocked with species like blue catfish, channel catfish, perch, northern pike, largemouth bass, trout, crappie, bluegill and rock bass.

Enon Beach Campground

Enon Beach Campground offers lakeside camping, where you can enjoy water activities such as fishing and swimming. RV sites are also available with full hookups with 20-/30-/50-amp service. Tent sites are right by the lake, offering scenic views and easy access to the water. While camping, you can enjoy amenities and facilities including a playground, a boat dock, a fishing pier, a game room, a meeting room, a snack bar, a laundry and restrooms. Bring your own canoe or kayak to paddle down the lake or fish for species like catfish, bluegill, bass and sunfish. No fishing license is required, and you are allowed to keep and cook your catch.
