Nisku is a small Canadian hamlet located on the outer edges of Edmonton, Alberta, and is surrounded by lakes, forests and rivers. RV campers looking to get outdoors can head to one of the many resorts in the area and take advantage of boating, golfing or shopping in Edmonton.

Shakers Acres RV Park & Campground

Just north of Nisku is the city of Edmonton, which is home to Shakers Acres RV Park & Campground. Located in the midst of many lakes and rivers, this RV park has much to offer for all kinds of campers. With 163 campsites, about three-quarters with power, water and sewage and one-quarter with just power and water, Shakers Acres provides accommodations for campers, trailers and RVs of any size.



Visitors can book campsites by the night or by the week; rates include two adults and three children. Any additional campers can be added on for a small fee.

Hubbles Lake RV Resort

Less than an hour northwest of Nisku, along the Trans-Canada Highway, Hubbles Lake RV Resort is nestled on the shores of Hubble Lake. Tailoring mostly to seasonal campers, this RV resort offers a basic seasonal package, with plenty of options for upgrading such as wireless Internet, boat launch access and off-season equipment storage.



The season begins May 1 and ends mid-to-late September. There are 30-amp electrical hookups available at all sites, and water and sewage hookups are available beginning May 15.



The campground has two guest sites available for friends or family of seasonal campers who come to visit. Campers can take advantage of free amenities such as swimming, free showers, a laundromat, various sports courts and boat rentals.

Glowing Embers RV Park and Travel Center

Glowing Embers RV Park and Travel Center is just west of Edmonton. Campers have access to 288 full hookup, pull-through campsites, with both 30- and 50-amp metered electricity. The campground provides a playground for children, a laundromat, public restrooms, wireless Internet, a fitness center and an on-site licensed RV technician.



Visitors who want to leave the campgrounds can drive into Edmonton or head out to one of the 10 nearby golf courses.
