The renowned North Platte River flows right through Casper, Wyoming, while the blue-ribbon trout stream portion of that river, known as the Miracle Mile, lies just south of town. Prime species include cutthroat, brown, rainbow and hybrid trout, with fishing possible year-round. For these reasons, Wyoming's second-largest city serves as a hub for both fly shops and experienced fishing guides who can take the guesswork out of planning a successful Wyoming fishing trip.

Crazy Rainbow

The Ugly Bug Fly Shop's fishing guide service, called Crazy Rainbow Fly Fishing, provides full-day and half-day guided and unguided fishing trips, along with lodging and meal options. This Orvis-endorsed outfitter has 8 miles of private North Platte shoreline, complete with six private boat ramps. The outfitter's three trophy ponds feature spring-fed waters rife with trout of magnificent proportions. All levels of anglers are welcome.
