Hilltop RV Park
The Hilltop RV Park, less than five miles from Haughton, offers sites for RV rigs of most sizes. Many of the sites have shady pines and trees, providing a respite from the hot Louisiana sun. Pets are welcome, but watch them and keep them from barking for the sake of other campers. Showers and toilets are available. Site connections include water and sewer, 30- or 50-amp electric and options for cable television. Hikers and mountain bikers have trail opportunities at the Kisatchie National Forest, approximately a 45-minute drive from the Hilltop RV Park. Bird watchers should head into the bayous and lakes of the forest and watch for the rare ivory billed woodpecker, thought extinct until a recent sighting in neighboring Arkansas.
