Campgrounds Near Cushing, Minnesota
Known as the land of 10,000 lakes, Minnesota has an abundance of lakeside campgrounds. Although Cushing, a small, unincorporated community in Minnesota, doesn't host any campgrounds itself, there are many that lie along nearby Fish Trap Lake and Rice Lake. Campgrounds in the area tailor to RV campers who are interested in spending time indulging in outdoor activities.

Fish Trap Resort

Fish Trap Resort, located on the western shore of Fish Trap Lake, is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. Campers can engage in fishing, mountain biking, hiking, golfing, boating or even trying their hand at archery.

The resort provides standard amenities such as a laundromat, a convenience store and a heated swimming pool as well as the free rental of canoes, kayaks, and paddle-boats. Two day deposits are required on all reservations, and campers must reserve a minimum of three nights during the holidays.

Rugged River Resort

Less than an hour northeast of Cushing lies the Rugged River Resort alongside Rice Lake. This resort offers two seasonal campgrounds, the North Bay and the Duck Bay RV Parks.

Every site comes with a full hookup that includes water, electric and sewage. Amenities include a swimming pool, a 7-by-10-foot spa and various sports courts. Visitors can immerse themselves in fishing, boating, biking and hiking through the 200 acres of woodland.

Campfire Bay Resort

On the northwestern shore of Fish Trap Lake resides the Campfire Bay Resort. It is less than a 15-minute drive north of Cushing. Campfire Bay Resort offers RV campsites to visitors who commit to season-long campsite occupation.

Campers have the option of paying for a boat slip that allows access to the boating facilities. Seasonal rates include garbage, water, septic and use of the resort's facilities; electricity is available at 20, 30 or 50 amps and is metered at each site.

Two miles outside of the resort is a luxury 18-hole golf course; the lake is nearby to fulfill campers' boating, swimming and fishing needs, as well as trails for hikers and cyclists. Pets are not welcome at this resort.
