Seward, Alaska is a small city located on Resurrection Bay along the eastern Kenai Peninsula of Alaska. The city is considered the gateway to the Kenai Fjords National Park and rugged, remote land. Seward's Resurrection Bay sees humpback whales, orcas, harbor seals, sea otters, stellar sea lions and porpoise swim into its waters and are often spotted from the shore. There are numerous lodges geared toward the angling visitor, arranging warm rooms and fishing charters in one package.

Alaska Saltwater Lodge

The Alaska Saltwater Lodge is located 6 miles from downtown Seward along Lowell Point. The owner of the lodge captains a charter and water taxi operation and arranges packages for lodging and salmon, halibut, bass and snapper in the area's frigid waters. The lodge features private and comfortable rooms with a kitchen, private bathrooms and showers, and views of Resurrection Bay. Keep an eye out the windows for marine mammals while you sip the first cup of the day. Charters take you to the fjords for salmon and halibut or other species if desired.
