El Reno, Oklahoma, is a small community outside of Oklahoma City, and one steeped in Western history and heritage. El Reno is at the intersection of the historic Route 66 and the old Chisholm Trail. The region has opportunities for horseback riding, hiking and road bicycling. Lake El Reno is a 300-acre lake on the outskirts of town where there are opportunities for fishing, swimming and boating. If you are traveling by RV into the region, there are several options for parks and campgrounds in the greater El Reno area.

Council Road RV Park

The Council Road RV Park is a 10-minute drive from the heart of downtown El Reno. Sites for most RV sizes are available, and many of the sites have shade trees, providing a respite from the hot Oklahoma sun.

Site connections include 30- or 50-amp electric, water, sewer, cable TV and Wi-Fi Internet. Pets are allowed but should be kept on a leash, for the sake of other campers. Showers and a laundry room are available. Lake El Reno is within a 20-minute drive where you can fish for crappie, bass and bluegill.
