Ski Shows Near Twin Lakes, WI

Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, is near Kenosha and the Illinois state line. The region has many lakes and rivers and is known for fishing, water-skiing and cross-country skiing. In summer, there are water-skiing shows where groups gather to watch water-skiing acrobatics and coordinated stunts. In winter, Wilmot Mountain, a local ski area, hosts several gear swaps and meetings. Most skiing in the area is water-skiing, and there are numerous shows with the sport.

Aquanuts Water Ski Shows

The Aquanuts Water Skiing Team puts on expos, shows and expos each year, inviting new members to join and bringing the community together. Shows and meetings include expos for seniors, clinics for the developmentally and physically disabled and gear swaps. The Aquanuts website has current listings and dates for ski shows and events. To join, simply download the online form and submit. Ski shows are offered throughout the summer.

Wilmot Mountain Ski Area

Wilmot Mountain Ski Area hosts an annual gear swap and show at the ski resort area. Sellers check their used gear in the week before the show. The show features booths offering the mountains activities and amenities, new ski and snowboard gear and a used/consignment gear area. The Wilmot Mountain website announces the dates for the yearly event in the late summer or early fall.

American Birkebeiner

The American Birkebeiner, held yearly in Hayward, Wisconsin, is one of the biggest cross-country ski races and events in the country, let alone Wisconsin. Although Hayward is two hours from Twin Lakes, the show, race and events are worth the trip. The race takes place over a three-day weekend and features ski gear shows, expos, waxing clinics, several different length races and music and food. Up to 40 different companies display their new gear, including telemark, downhill, cross-country and alpine touring.
