All-Mountain Bikes
For all-mountain riding (cross country with moderate downhill) the Specialized Myka FSR Expert Women's Specific receives four of five stars at the MTBR.com independent review site. The Myka is available in an 18-inch frame and uses Specialized's proprietary four bar linkage rear suspension. The four bar linkage prevents pedal bob (loss of power on uphill clubs) and keeps front and rear tire equally distant, even when under heavy use. Specialized offers a warranty on frames.

Free Ride
The Trek Fuel WSD (Women's Specific Design) receives five of five stars at the MTBR.com review site.
