Camping in Europe is a fun pastime that can cost $7 to $30 (USD) for two people and a tent. (Estimates are accurate as of May 2010 and may not be reflective of pricing for all campsites.) When choosing a tent campground, consider the season (not all sites are seasonal, some shut down from late fall to early spring) and check that the site offers the services and amenities you require such as complimentary Internet access.

Mullerwiese, Germany

Mullerwiese is a full hookup tent, cabin and RV campground open from spring to fall. The property is located near the Nature Reserve Black Forest, in southwest Germany. Each site is equipped with Internet access and electricity posts with 80 sites. As of May 2010, the average cost for car camping is $10 USD (tent hire is available-additional fees apply). Campers can choose between a car-free tent area and a centrally located camping ground where cabins are also available.

Parc Verger, France

Parc Verger is a tent campground located in the rural city of Perigord-Limousin Parc Naturel. The property is open year-round and is nestled between lakes and forests. Campers have access to fishing, cycling and walking trails. Each tent site has Internet access, water (including shower facilities) and electricity. A sewage system and dump station are available. Services include laundry facilities and a swimming pool. There is no maximum number of days allowed and, as of May 2010, the campground price averages $10 USD.

Le Foci, Italy

Le Foci is a tent campground open year-round. The property is sprawled out over an area of 30,000 square miles and features approximately 80 pitches for tents and 130 parks for caravans. Each site is equipped with electric connection. Common services include a bar, supermarket and meeting room with television access. Campers can order hot meals on demand or pack a lunch and enjoy a day trip on foot or horseback through the paths of the National Park of Abruzzo. The campsite average cost is $7 USD.
