What are the Best Camping Places in the Western Cape?
Cape Cod is a popular tourist destination because of its long sandy beaches and many one-of-a-kind seaside towns. Visitors to the western Cape will find several campground choices, including some that have above-average amenities and provide convenient access to the local beaches and seaside towns.

Bay View Campground

Bay View Campground is located in western Cap Cod in Bourne, Massachusetts. It offers full-hookup campsites that include a fire ring, picnic table and cable TV connection. Facility amenities include an outdoor restaurant, convenience store and ice cream parlor, along with modern restrooms and private showers. Recreational amenities include a recreation hall, two playgrounds and three swimming pools with patio seating. The campground has daily planned activities and features several sports, including baseball, tennis and basketball. Pocasset Town Forest, which is less than a mile to the south, has several miles of hiking trails.

Indianhead Resort

Indianhead Resort is less than a quarter-mile from Cape Cod Bay in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It offers partial-hookup campsites that include a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities include a camp store that sells groceries, fishing bait and firewood. There is also a coin-operated laundry, dump station and modern bathrooms, along with coin-operated private showers. Indianhead Resort has a sandy beach and swimming area on a pond, and it offers boat rentals. Ellisville Harbor State Park is located across the street from the camp; the state park has a sandy beach on the Cape Cod Bay along with several hiking trails.

Sandy Pond Campground is located on western Cape Cod on Little Sandy Pond. It offers full- and partial-hookup campsites that include a picnic table and fire ring. The campground has wooded and open sites. Amenities include a general store, recreation hall and dump station, along with modern restrooms and private showers. Recreational amenities include a sandy beach with swimming area, canoe rentals, a playground, a softball field and horseshoe pits. Several hiking trails lead through the forested area surrounding the campground.
