Motorcycle camping is popular in the Smoky Mountains and several campgrounds and lodges are built specifically for motorcycles. Motorcycles are an efficient mode of travel on the winding mountain roads and hybrid bikes allow travelers to access off-road campsites and highway sites. Motorcycles require campers to be minimalist and are preferred by many people.

Blue Ridge Motorcycle Campground

Campground barbecues and events are also held throughout the summer and covered swings and picnic sites are scattered throughout the campground.
