North Carolina Mountains RV Resorts

North Carolina is home to several mountain ranges offering many recreational opportunities including hiking the mountainous terrain of the Cherokee National Forest and fishing for trout in the small mountain streams and rivers. Visitors will find many RV parks and resorts with convenient access to the attractions and offering scenic mountain views.

Mountain Stream RV Park

Mountain Stream RV Park is located in the Pisgah National Forest in Marion, North Carolina. Buck Creek runs along two sides of the park, which is in a narrow valley in the Blue Ridge Mountains. The park offers full-hook-up RV sites that include a paved or gravel pad, patio area and picnic table. Facility amenities include a camp store, picnic pavilion and modern bathhouse with restrooms and private showers. There are many sites located on the creek, which contains native and stocked trout for fishing. Mountain Stream RV Park is surrounded by forested land where you can access many hiking trails that wind up the mountainous terrain.

Creekwood Farm RV Park

The Creekwood Farm RV Park is located in the Great Smoky Mountains in western North Carolina. It offers full hook-up RV sites that include a picnic table and fire ring. Jonathon Creek runs along one side of the campground with 26 sites bordering the creek. Several rental cabins and rustic tent sites are also available. Facility amenities include a banquet room with full kitchen, secluded picnic area and coin-operated guest laundry along with modern restrooms and private showers. Jonathon Creek offers fishing opportunities for trout as well as tubing. The Cherokee National Forest is less then five miles to the north of the park where guests will find many hiking opportunities through the rugged forest landscape.

Grandfather RV Resort

The Grandfather RV Resort is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Boone, North Carolina. It offers full- and partial-hook-up RV sites that include a picnic table and fire ring. Cabin rentals and rustic tent sites are also available. Facility amenities include a camp store, coin-operated guest laundry and playground as well as modern restrooms and private showers. There is a stocked trout pond on site as well as access to the Watauga River where guests can catch trout. The resort has a 100-acre wooded tract just for hiking with moderate to difficult trails.
