Take a Hike

One of the best and least expensive ways to experience the Canadian Rockies in Banff is on foot. There are dozens of hikes to choose from in the area. Hiking in Banff means you will have the privilege of walking through alpine wildflowers while observing snow-capped peaks in the distance. Snow is still deep on many ridge lines until June. There are more than 10 trails easily accessible right from Banff. Visit the Parks Canada Banff Information Center for current updates and conditions of trails before heading out. Go Rafting

There are plenty of rivers that flow through and near Banff. For those desiring an energetic day full of speed, white water and extreme excitement river rafting may be a good fit.
