Palmerston North Holiday Park
Located on the edge of Fitzherbert Park, near the banks of the Manawatu River, the Palmerston North Holiday Park is a large campground very close to the city's center. It has 65 tent sites, 75 full hookup sites that include water, sewer and electricity and 16 cabins, three with full kitchens. There is a playground on site, as well as grilling equipment. There is a guest lounge with a communal kitchen and TV, and shower facilities are scattered throughout the property. Palmerston North Holiday Park does not allow pets at any of its facilities.

Feilding Holiday Park
Located just 20 kilometers north of Palmerston North you'll find Feilding Holiday Park, a campground located in the rural farming community of Feilding. The facility offers tent sites and cabins, as well as full hookups for RVs, including water, sewer and electricity. On site you'll also find a fully equipped guest kitchen, a lounge with a TV and a full laundry area with washer, dryer and iron. If you're planning a meeting or family reunion, there is a modern conference facility that can accommodate up to 50 people. There is a small shop on site, and a telephone and fax machine are available in the office. Field Holiday Park has a playground for children and a lake where you can paddle around the campground's canoes.

Kyrewood Equestrian Centre
Kyrewood Equestrian Centre is located on 100 acres of land north of Palmerston North, near the Manawatu River. While it is a full-service equestrian facility with courses, instructors and dozens of horses, it also has a fully equipped campground with tent sites and RV sites with full hookups. Even if you're not participating in the riding courses, you can still stay at Kyrewood Equestrian Centre, and within it you'll find a bathhouse, communal kitchen, laundry facilities and a lounge with a TV. You can go walking, or "tramping" as locals call it, around the centre's grounds or relax with your fishing pole beside the river that bounds the property. Your dogs are welcome, as long as they are leashed.
