Open Season Lodge

Open Season Lodge advises, "Wake up to the smell of home made bread and muffins." Built in 1832 in the spacious Loyalist style, it was originally Wildman's Hotel, the first hotel in the village. Today the owner's family occupies part of the hotel, one of the few remaining of this era. Visitors use totally separate areas. Three guest rooms, beautifully decorated, remain booked in advance, so make reservations early. The Inn can easily accommodate up to 16 for large parties. Nightly or weekly rates are available, along with a senior citizen discount. Both a full breakfast and a continental version are served. After breakfast, wander over to the sandy beach or enjoy boating and birdwatching. Or travel to nearby Beaver Meadow Wildlife Conservation Area and enjoy the abundance of wildflowers on a walk.

Breeze off the Lake Bed and Breakfast
Travelers without children and pets will find suitable accommodations at Breeze off the Lake. With three rooms, plush terry robes in every room, and a guest lounge for relaxing in front of the fireplace or reading, Breeze off the Lake feels almost like home. A large sun-room overlooks perennial flower gardens, and the guest floor has its own refrigerator for guests. For early risers, coffee and tea is served before breakfast; breakfast is likely to include such treats as fresh-baked blueberry muffins, cheddar scones, scrambled eggs with thick-sliced bacon, pancakes or fresh blueberries. A two-night minimum booking is required during certain times (with a 10 percent discount), and the inn is only open from mid-April to October. Ask for a complimentary pass to Sandbanks Provincial Park, or just enjoy the beach and water. Smoking is not permitted indoors, nor are children or pets, although a "house cat" roams the premises.
