The White Mountains sit along the New Mexico-Arizona border and are the second highest range in the state. The mountains are popular destinations for fishing, camping, hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and downhill skiing. A good portion of the range is in the Fort Apache Indian Reservation. The highest peak is Mount Baldy with an elevation of 11,400 feet.
