Attitash Caters to Snowboarders, Experienced Skiers, and Adaptive Riders

New Hampshire's Attitash ski area actually has two mountains for the enjoyment of skiers and snowboarders: there is Attitash itself, which stands 2,350 feet tall, and also Bear Peak, which is slightly shorter at 2,050 feet.
Between Attitash and Bear Peak, there are vertical drops of 1,750 feet. About 20 percent of its 78 trails are marked as suitable for beginners. Adaptive equipment--and also lessons for disabled skiers--are part and parcel of the skiing experience at Attitash.

Bear Valley for Expert Backcountry Skiers and Snowmobilers
Advanced skiers may participate in back country skiing that occasionally traverses extremely steep terrain. The Bear Valley resort contracts with Mountain Adventure Seminars to train winter sports aficionados to learn how to safely pass through the sometimes treacherous back country. This same company also runs snow cat adventure rides that take experienced skiers into untouched portions of the mountainous terrain for extreme back country skiing. At its summit, Bear Valley measures 8,500 feet tall.
