Glacier National Park Hotels
Spectacular scenery, pristine lakes, and glacier-covered mountain peaks form the backbone of this national park, filled with hiking and other outdoor adventures. You can access most activities via Going-to-the-Sun Road, connecting the west side of the park to the east side. Five hotels are scattered along this road, offering visitors rustic, yet comfortable, accommodations. Since there are no televisions or phones, guests find themselves with an opportunity to truly tune into nature in this park.

Lake McDonald Lodge, Cabins & Motor Inn

Situated on spectacular Lake McDonald, near the park's west entrance, hotel guests enjoy swimming, hiking or a lift to the historic boat "DeSmet," located on the lake. In addition to cozy rooms in the lodge, inn, or cabins, amenities include a gift shop, camp store and several restaurants, located directly on the premises.

Many Glacier Hotel

This magnificent five-story hotel, located near the park's east entrance, sits on Swiftcurrent Lake, surrounded by glaciated mountains. View a glacier up close via boat ride across the lake, followed by a 2 mile round trip hike to Grinnell Glacier. Amenities include a gift shop, snack shop, and several restaurants. Choose from cozy and comfortable lakeside, standard or value accommodations.

Rising Sun Motor Inn & Cabins

Situated on St. Mary Lake, just inside the park's east entrance, this hotel offers rooms in the inn or nearby cabins. Dining options consist of a simple coffee shop. While hiking trails abound in the area, especially at nearby Many Glaciers, many guests enjoy relaxing in their lawn chairs and viewing bears and goats in the surrounding mountain terrain.

Swiftcurrent Motor Inn & Cabins

Numerous trails surround this hotel, located near the east entrance of the park, including access to Swiftcurrent Pass, Iceberg Lake, or Ptarmigan Tunnel trailheads. Choose from cabin or motel rooms; however, several of the cabins do not offer private bathrooms, instead offering guests access to bathroom facilities via a centralized shower house. Additional amenities include a restaurant, gift shop and camp store.

Village Inn at Apgar

Every room in this hotel, located just inside the west entrance to the park, offers stunning views of Lake McDonald and the surrounding glacier-covered mountain. Rent a boat or canoe to check out the lake or take the short McDonald Creek bike path. Onsite amenities include a restaurant, camp store, and gift shop. This hotel also offer a few kitchenette rooms, complete with two-burner stoves and small refrigerators.
