Maui is the second largest of the 132 Hawaiian islands. It is also one of the most popular islands, attracting about 2.5 million visitors a year. The island is known for its outdoor activities, which include snorkeling, scuba diving, bike riding, swimming with dolphins, sailing, deep-sea fishing, surfing, whale watching, jet skiing and parasailing. Cities throughout the island have hotels that are centrally located near Maui's beaches.
