Lancon-de-Provence is a city in southern France that is near Salon-de-Provence and is about 40 km north of Marseilles. It is an ancient town that was settled sometime around the fifth century. It is between the Alps and the French coast. Many popular outdoor activities in the area include skiing, mountain climbing and hiking. There also are museums, wineries, health spas, beaches, sidewalk cafes, carnivals and walled medieval towns. There are several hotels in the area that are available.
