Zipline Tour
Tom Barefoot's Tours offers skyline eco-adventures throughout Maui, and adventure seekers can sign up for the zipline Kaanapali package that takes visitors high above the resort and over the valleys of Mount Kahalawai. The tour takes about four hours, depending on the group size, and includes either a breakfast or lunch, depending on the tour time.

Hula Girl Snorkel Tour
The Hula Girl Snorkel Tour takes visitors on a sailing adventure on board a 65-foot catamaran and includes time in the water with a snorkeling instructor. The five-hour snorkel tour departs from Kaanapali Beach and takes guests along the West Maui coastline to explore destinations such as the Honolua Bay Marine Preserve. Adventurous travelers can choose to go scuba diving as part of their experience.
As of 2009, the cost of the Hula Girl Snorkel Tour for adults was about $90 per person, and children between the ages of two and 12 years about $74. Infants under two years of age were admitted free. These prices did not include a 7 percent tax or $4 per person fuel surcharge.

Whale Watching
Kaanapali Beach serves as a departure point for many sailboats and charter yachts that head out on whale-watching excursions during the winter season. Trilogy is one tour operator that offers whale-watching tours from Kaanapali Beach from December 15 to April 15 each year. Guests can board a 51-foot sailing catamaran, enjoy complimentary snacks and soda, and learn about whales and whale habitats during the narrated tour. As of 2009, the two-hour tour cost approximately $43 per adult and $23 for children between the ages of three and 15, including taxes and fees.

Hiking or Diving From Black Rock at the Sheraton Maui
Black Rock, also known as Puu Kekaa, is a legendary cliff where locals perform a diving ceremony every night. You can hike around these cliffs to enjoy scenic views of the ocean, see whales trekking across the waters, and see the native plants and trees that protect the beach area. The Black Rock Sunset Cliff Dive is a free event hosted by the Sheraton hotel, and it takes place every night. The Sheraton Resort in Maui currently sits on the top of Puu Kekaa.
