When in Guilin there is a wide assortment of inexpensive hotels throughout the city. One of these hotels is the New Plaza Hotel which has an average price of $25 a night. This is a large hotel with 263 rooms. There are not very many amenities included with the room, and it is basically just a place to rest your head. The rooms aren't overly well kept, but the sheets are clean and you really can't beat the price.

Mid Range

It is amazing what a few extra bucks will get you as far as hotels go in the city of Guilin. The Lijian Waterfall Hotel is a mid-range hotel running around $69 a night. The rooms offer excellent views of the city and there is even an all access spa in the hotel. A conference room is provided as well if you are in need of taking on a business meeting. A fitness center and restaurant is also on-site.

High End

If you are looking for an extravagant visit to the city of Guilin, you will want to check out the Hotel of Modern Art. At roughly $366 a night it is by no means inexpensive, but the scenery alone in the hotel is worth the price. The hotel is located in the middle of a lake, with hundreds of international sculptures throughout. While at the hotel you can take part in a traditional Chinese massage, then take up lessons in tai chi, calligraphy or pottery. Essentially, whatever you want to see or do, you can find in the Hotel of Modern Art
