Set in the mountains within minutes of the Allegheny National Forest, Cook Forest State Park and the Oil Creek State Park where visitors can hike, bike and observe wildlife, Fryburg is quaint Pennsylvanian town that offers visitors a small-town stop on the way to and from the parks and forests. Unfortunately for visitors looking to spend the night in Fryburg, the town has no hotels. Luckily there are many just a short drive away in neighboring cities.

Holiday Inn Clarion

The Holiday Inn Clarion offers kid-friendly guest rooms less than 30 minutes (15 miles) south of Fryburg. Each room comes fully equipped with cable TV, complimentary newspapers and wireless Internet, and coffeemaker; cribs are available upon request. The hotel has an on-site fitness center and tropical indoor courtyard with pool, table tennis and arcade. All kids eat for free with a paying adult.

Located near the Clarion River only 30 minutes from Fryburg, the Quality Inn & Suites offers guests a free continental breakfast every morning. Room and suite amenities include hair dryers, free wireless Internet access and coffeemaker; some rooms have a microwave and refrigerator. The hotel has an outdoor pool (open seasonally) and a fitness center. Free newspapers and coffee are available in the lobby. Pets are welcome at the hotel for a nightly fee.

The Arlington Hotel

The Arlington Hotel in nearby Oil City (30 minutes, 17 miles), puts guests directly on the Allegheny River. In fact, the hotel's outdoor swimming pool overlooks the river. All rooms at the hotel have cable TV, high-speed Internet access and hair dryers. Many rooms have river views and some have in-room jacuzzis. All guests receive a free continental breakfast in the morning and have free access to the nearby fitness center.
