Called the "Pearl of the Pacific," Mazatlan is the closest Mexico resort to the United States mainland. It is a popular destination for honeymooners, families and friends. While tourists there enjoy relaxation and getting away from it all, there are also many activities to interest the more adventurous vacationers.

Golf

El Cid Golf & Country Club in Mazatlan is the only resort in Mexico that features a Lee Trevino signature designed course. In addition to providing a challenging course for golfers, El Cid is situated on an ecological preserve that is home to many deer, fish, crocodiles, turtles and exotic birds.

Pacifico Brewery, one of Mexico's largest, is located in Mazatlan as well. It offers tours of the brewery and also tastings of beers that can't be found outside of Mexico.

Horseback Riding

Ginger's Bilingual Horses in Mazatlan offers horseback riding for riders of all ages and experience levels. While riding, tourists get the chance to see a coconut plantation, tropical birds and iguanas.

Boating

King David Jungle Cruise offers Mazatlan tourists a boat trip through tropical areas, where you can experience a variety of tropical birds, spend time on the beach and enjoy a seafood lunch.

Mountain Biking

Mazatlan Adventure Activities offers the more adventurous tourist a different way to see the area: via mountain bike. Various courses exist, including simple dirt roads around a nature preserve; there's also the more extreme, longer trip on both paved and unpaved roads.

Also offered by Mazatlan Adventure Activities is a surfing package that accommodates all levels, from beginner to expert. Lessons are offered, and all surfing equipment is provided.
