With plenty of sunshine and mild winters, South Africa is a year-round vacation destination. The best time to travel to the country may depend upon your favorite activities. Bird watching is popular during the migratory season from mid-October through November, the Cape spring flowers are in full bloom in August and September, while the recommended months for safari tours is from July through September, when the visibility is at its best. Kulula Airline

The budget airline offers single-class flights between Johannesburg's OR Tambo International Airport and Cape Town, Durban, George, Port Elizabeth, East London and Nelspruit as well as between Johannesburg's Lanseria Airport to Cape Town, Durban, Port Elizabeth and George. As illustrated by the fleet of Boeing 737s painted with individual paint schemes, including the 'cow' plane, 'camo' plane and 'the jetsetter' plane, the airline embraces a sense of humor and fun while striving to provide all their passengers with an enjoyable travel experience.

Mango Airline

Operated by South African Airways, the economy regional airline offers low-cost, single-class flights between Johannesburg, Cape Town Durban and Bloemfontein and features a fleet of new generation Boeing B737-800 aircrafts on all routes. Each flight has186 seats available, but seating is not assigned until passengers check in for their flight at the airline service desk, through online check-in or by using an airport self service check-in kiosk.
