Unions are a distinctly American way of life, taking care of the working class and keeping them from being exploited. Throughout all major cities, including Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, many employees are paid below livable wages because they are not protected by a union. They are subjected to inhumane conditions that one would think only happen in developing countries.
