Wonderlane

Settled in 1531 Mazatlan has endured many turbulent times, including seizure by the U.S. Army during the Mexican-American War. Mazatlan remains one of the premier tourist destinations in Mexico. This historical metropolis is the second largest city in Mexico and offers a wealth of adventure for outdoor enthusiasts. From hiking to the top of the second largest natural lighthouse in the world to surfing in the Pacific Ocean, the activities for all ages are endless. Although this coastal city does not offer authentic hostel accommodations, there are still options for the budget-conscious traveler.
