Royal Melbourne Zoo

With more than 300 species, this zoo highlights the best of Australia and the world. As the country's oldest zoo, it provides 55 acres of exhibits and habitats that have been established over the past 150 years. Different landscapes are featured, from African rainforests, Asian forests and the Australian bush. There are interactive presentations and guided tours. The Wild Sea exhibit features seals, penguins, pelicans and more. It is open daily.

Surf World Surfing Museum

In Australia's surfing capital, this museum celebrates the story of surfing. Visitors can experience the surfing heritage and beach culture of Australia. It is the world's largest surf museum. The Australian Surfing Hall of Fame is located there. The exhibits range from the history of surfboard designs, a theater with significant surfing videos, live board shaping, a collection of surfing culture memorabilia and more. It is open daily.

Healesville Sanctuary

This sanctuary features a variety of Australian plants and more than 200 species of wildlife.
