Iuka, Mississippi, is known as the Gateway to Mississippi because of its location near the borders of Tennessee and Alabama. Visitors to Iuka will find many opportunities for outdoor activities. J. P. Coleman State Park allows hiking, biking, camping, and boating on Pickwick Lake. Tishomingo State Park has moderate to difficult hiking trails, and allows canoe or kayak paddling, and rock climbing.
