Cusco is a city in Peru that is located near the base of the Andes Mountain range. Cusco receives nearly 1 million visitors every year. The Killke were the first to occupy Peru in 900 AD prior to the arrival of the Incas in the 1200's. The city is rich in history and was invaded by the Spaniards in the 1500's and was renamed Cuzco.

Sun Gate Tours

Sun Gate Tours allows leaving Cusco and visiting the countryside in a several day journey. The tour provides the buses to the sites and individual cars for exploring close sites of interest. You are also provided with two-man tents, sleeping pads, pack animals and all meals. Tours are given based on when weather will permit and are recommended from April to November during warmer temperatures. Sites on the tour include small villages like Chinchero, Urubamba and Ollantaytambo, the high jungle and a suspension bridge.
