Drummond, WI Hotels

Drummond is a small historic lumber town smack dab in the middle of the Chequamegon National Forest in Bayfield County in northwestern Wisconsin. It's a quiet area, full of trails and lakes. On a late afternoon stroll or an early morning walk visitors might see a mama bear and her cubs or happen upon a doe and her fawn. The option of outdoor recreational activities are plenty. Just 10 miles south of Drummond, spread out over a nine-mile region, are the pristine waters of Lake Owen. There are a number of accommodations in the area that are ready to welcome travelers.

The Lake Owen Resort, 10 miles from Drummond and just outside of the town of Cable, has accommodations to meet each traveler's needs with rooms, suites or cabins. Fishing is a favorite activity on the lake, with a variety of fish to fry over the campfire. Guests can rent rafts, boats for water skiing, canoes, kayaks and paddle boats. Also, for the golfer, help with tee time is available for the golfing that's just a half hour away.

Black Bear Inn

Whether backpacking, camping nearby, driving through or staying a while, travelers will find that the Black Bear Inn offers a place to hang their hat. The inn also has an Italian restaurant that offers dine-in specials. The property is right on great trails for hiking, snowmobiling, backpacking and animal tracking.

Rosa Lake Cottage

Nestled in private forest setting on the lake right near the trails, this furnished three-bedroom cottage is a quiet destination for the family or a group of friends. It has a fireplace, central A/C and a gas grill. An outside stone fire pit awaits s'mores and summer stories to be told around it. During the day, the lake has fishing and paddle boats.
