Visitors can take a cruise through McCovey Cove, rent a bareboat at the Bay or tour the infamous Alcatraz Island. For a fun day trip, they can drive 30 miles northeast to Mount Diablo State Park or 12 miles north to Muir Woods National Monument, where they will find old-growth redwoods, bobcats, 10 species of bats and more than 50 bird species.
