Mike's Crab House in Riva, Maryland is a popular, lively eatery offering waterfront dining on the South River. Paper-covered tables greet diners at this casual restaurant. While steamed crabs are the top draw, a full menu of meat, poultry and seafood dishes is available for lunch and dinner. Before tucking into a bushel of crabs, enjoy a bowl of the Mike's famous Maryland crab soup.

This charming, waterfront crab house in Annapolis overlooks picturesque Mill Creek. Cantler's, a family-run establishment, is popular with locals and visitors alike. The menu suits both seadogs and land lovers. Steamed blue crabs--delivered straight to the restaurant's dock--are always a favorite. Free boat dockage is available for diners taking a break from enjoying nearby Chesapeake Bay. The restaurant offers a view of the docks, working boats and fishermen, just off the Chesapeake Bay.

Opened in 1971, Costas Inn has a reputation for sourcing the best crabs available and delivering some of Baltimore's tastiest steamed crabs. A generous serving of Maryland crab cakes with a side order of homemade coleslaw is a house specialty. For younger diners there is an extensive children's menu. Afterwards, enjoy the mile high carrot cake or Costas hot fudge sundae.

Hooper's Crab House is a quirky Ocean City eatery that's worth a visit. As you walk in, you'll notice a number of racing artifacts, including a Winston Cup certified 2001 Monte Carlo and a plane hanging from the ceiling. The specialty of the house is the clam Bake for Two. On top of clams, this feast will see you enjoying soup, lobsters, crabs, shrimp, snow leg clusters, mussels, corn on the cob, coleslaw, bread and butter. But, if you've no time to eat in, don't despair. The Blue Crab Express, a restored 1920s caboose house on-site, offers carry out seafood. After your meal, head outside and grab an ice cream from the renovated 1960s ice cream van parked in front.
