Ice Fishing
The Grand Rapids area provides a fishing destination year-round for anglers. The area's lakes are filled with species such as northern pike, walleye, crappie, panfish, bass and perch. When the ice thickens during the winter, some of the area's finest fishing occurs over frozen ice. Grand Rapids' northern wilderness offers ice fishing as well as miles of groomed trails for skiing, sledding and snowmobiling.
