Head chef Daniel Boulud offers diners French cuisine prepared from the season's top ingredients. Some of the menu options are watercress velouté with Nantucket bay scallops, slow-baked Arctic char with sweet Maine shrimp and duo of wagyu beef. The restaurant's food selection also includes options for vegetarians in addition to traditional French dishes. Daniel's bar and lounge has a wide array of wines from all over the world. The restaurant was renovated in 2008, and The New York Times gave it a four-star rating for its food and service, while Michelin rated it three stars. This restaurant is conveniently located near Central Park.

Café d'Alsace

Café d'Alsace offers Chef Philippe Roussel interpretations of the cuisine of the Alsace area of France, infused with New York flair. The restaurant's distinguished beer collection complements the authentic French-Alsatian menu items, such as tarte flambée; crocks of potée Alsatian swirling with white beans, cabbage and nuggets of bacon; and an Alsatian casserole called beackoffe. Café d'Alsace also boasts a certification from the Green of the Green Restaurant Association, which means it follows green business practices. Café d'Alsace has a set lunch menu and serves a popular brunch. Brunch items include a frittata d'lyon, omelette d'alsace and poulet rotis. Just a few minutes away from Gracie Mansion, the restaurant has outdoor patio seating.

Bistro Chat Noir

Voted the most romantic restaurant in New York City by "Avenue" magazine, Bistro Chat Noir lets patrons enjoy French cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant offers a lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch menu. In addition to traditional French fare like cheese soufflés and steak au poivre, Chat Noir has an extensive selection of soups, salads and appetizers, plus an often-praised burger. The bistro offers space and catering for private functions and parties and also provides delivery services within a designated area.
