Washington, Georgia Hotels
Washington is a small town in eastern Georgia that's rich in history. Located 113 miles east of downtown Atlanta, Washington is home to more than 100 historic colonial and Victorian homes built in the 1800s. The Washington Historical Museum displays a large collection of Civil War relics, and the Kettle Creek Battlefield---just 12 miles southwest of downtown Washington---holds historical markers and graves from the battles that raged there during the American Revolutionary War. There are a handful of hotels in the Washington area.

Econo Lodge‬‎

The Econo Lodge is just off Interstate 20 in Thomson, 22.4 miles south of Washington in Thompson. The hotel offers 47 rooms with Internet access, TVs with expanded cable, microwaves, refrigerators and coffee makers. Rooms have two double beds or a single king bed. Guests receive a complimentary continental breakfast each morning, and free coffee and pastries are available throughout the day in the lobby.

Best Western White Columns Inn‬‎

Best Western White Columns Inn features 133 rooms and suites, all with satellite TVs, Internet access, mini-refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers and work desks. Rooms with gas fireplaces are also available. The hotel is less than a half-hour drive south of Washington in Thomson and has a playground with a volleyball court, barbecue grills and boat hookup power outlets. Inside, there's a business center, a conference room, a fitness center, laundry facilities and an on-site lounge. Children younger than age 17 stay for free with an accompanying adult, and small pets less than 20 pounds are welcome for an additional fee.
