Caldwell is a borough of Essex County, New Jersey just about 15 miles outside New York. It is considered a suburb of both Newark, New Jersey, and New York City. Ranked third in the "Best Places to Live" in New Jersey by New Jersey Monthly, Caldwell attractions for the outdoors enthusiast include Green Brook Country Club for a round of golf and the nearby Great Piece Meadows State Park for exploring. Rusillo Pizzeria & Ristorante is located in west Caldwell and offers dine-in, takeout and delivery options for lunch and dinner. Stephanie's Italian Restaurant is family owned and operated. It offers cozy indoor seating as well as a beautiful garden setting for outdoor seating under the stars. It is casual dining and serves lunch and dinner Tuesdays through Saturdays, with Sundays being available for private parties. Menu options include hot antipasto--eggplant rollatini, mozzarella in carrozza, mussels, clams oreganata and stuffed mushrooms--or zuppa di mussels, mesculin salad, rigatoni alla vodka, cavatelli romana, lobster ravioli, grilled vegetable platter, pollo parmigiana, veal cutlet and flounder Francase. All meat entrees are served with a side of pasta marinara.

Luce

Luce refers to itself as "eclectic-Italian." It is a trendy yet casual environment as the owners had hoped to bring contemporary New York City-styled dining to Caldwell when they opened Luce. Luce is open for lunch Monday to Friday and for dinner seven nights a week. On the menu are options such as petite filet mignon meatballs, Scungilli salad, homemade cavatelli, seared Nantucket scallops, suckling pig ossobucco, homemade whole wheat fettuccine with broccoli rabe, short rib ragu and penne puttanesca.
