Cabins in Glacier National Park

Designated as the 10th national park in the United States in 1910, Glacier National Park in Montana offers over 700 miles of trails, guided horseback trips and boat cruises, according to the park's website. Over two million visitors travel to Glacier Park annually and most stay for three to four days exploring the area. Several cabins are available to reserve in many areas of the park.

Lake McDonald Lodge, Cabins and Inn

Lake McDonald Lodge is a historic three-story structure located along the shores of Lake McDonald inside Glacier National Park. Guestrooms are available in the main lodge or visitors can choose one of several 1900s-era cabins for a truly authentic mountain experience. Cabins are divided in half, duplex-style, without connecting doors but with a shared front porch. Parking is available near the cabin and each unit has a private bathroom. Amenities include down pillows, a complimentary guidebook, telephone and access to a gift shop, camp store and three restaurants at the lodge. Lake McDonald Lodge, Cabins and Inn are located in the southwestern corner of Glacier National Park, approximately 10 miles from the ranger station near West Glacier.

Smoky Bear Ranch offers a Grizzly Bear Cabin and Little Bear log cabins for visitors to Glacier National Park. The Grizzly Bear Cabin accommodates up to 12 visitors and features a queen bed room and bunk bed room on the main level and two more queen bed rooms upstairs in the loft area. A fully equipped kitchen is adjacent to a comfortable great room and a large dining table seats 10 people. A wood stove and TV provide comfort and evening entertainment and front and back porches offer seating to take in the mountain views. Two full bathrooms are available and all supplies are provided for guests; the owners advise bringing only food and personal items. Little Bear cabins accommodate six visitors and feature a loft bedroom with a queen bed and two twins and a full-sized futon on the main level. A kitchenette, full bathroom and front porch are also amenities available in the cabins. Smoky Bear Ranch is located near the north fork of the Flathead River accessible from Highway 2 and North Fork Road.

Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins

The Tamarack Lodge features 17 cabins in three sizes ranging from family-sized for six guests to unit cabins for two guests. Cabins feature fully-equipped kitchens, private bathrooms, wireless Internet access, satellite TV and authentic log furniture. Full housekeeping services are provided and cabin guests have access to common areas in the main lodge at Tamarack such as community yards and a library. The Historic Tamarack Lodge and Cabins are located eight miles from the West Glacier entrance to Glacier National Park.
