Toronto rests on the shores of Lake Ontario and is the largest city in Canada with a population of over 2.5 million. This city's waterfront location provides tourists with opportunities for water activities, such as kayaking opportunities in the Toronto Islands. The population of the "Queen City" consists of diverse cultures and ethnicity, which can be seen in the variety of shops and restaurants. Due to this diversity, there are Hungarian restaurants in Toronto.

The Coffee Mill Restaurant

The Coffee Mill Restaurant is located within the Yorkville shopping center and is approximately five minutes from the jogging and cycling paths at Toronto's Ramsden Park. This casual dining establishment has an elegant atmosphere and features classical music playing in the background, a courtyard with a fountain and outdoor patio seating. Smoking is allowed in the patio area. Reservations are accepted, but must be made 24 hours in advance. Live music is performed at Coffee Mill on the weekends. Coffee Mill serves lunch and dinner seven days a week. The menu at Coffee Mill features Hungarian specials that include wiener schnitzel, kolbasz pan-fried sausage and veal paprikash, which is Hungarian stew.

Krepesz European Palacsinta Cafe

Krepesz European Palacsinta Cafe is situated in Toronto's Kensington Market area, approximately two miles from the Lake Ontario Waterfront Trail, a cycling path that runs alongside Lake Ontario. This trendy cafe-style restaurant has Hungarian-themed contemporary décor and artwork spread throughout the dining room, as well as sofas for lounging and outdoor patio seating. Krepesz is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day of the week. The menu at Krepesz features various styles of crepes that include apple cinnamon, Nutella banana and walnut apricot jam. Other menu items are chicken stew and a vegetarian plate that includes feta cheese, spinach and chopped tomatoes. Krepesz also offers a beverage menu that features espresso and herbal teas.

Hungary Thai Bar & Eatery rests on Toronto's August Avenue, less than five miles from the 16-mile cycling trail in Olde Town Toronto. This trendy dining establishment features a vibrant atmosphere as well as Thai and Hungarian-themed pictures and memorabilia spread throughout the restaurant. Hungary Thai serves lunch and dinner every day of the week. The menu at Hungary Thai offers Hungarian dishes that include Budapest schnitzel, chicken paprikash, which is breaded chicken sauteed with paprika sauce, and brassoi slices, which is chicken in garlic sauce. Hungary Thai also has a full-service bar with an extensive beverage list and seating available.
