Although New York City is a major metropolitan city it is a great place for those who enjoy outdoor activity too. The Margot Guest House is a charming bed and breakfast just steps from Central Park at the start of Museum Mile. Here there are six studio rooms that can accommodate up to three people in each. The interior has 19th-century character with antique doors and high ceilings. Every room has a queen bed with memory foam mattresses, organic sheets, a full private bathroom, flat-screen television, complimentary wireless Internet access, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and silverware and ceiling fans. As of March 2010, rates here at Margot Guest House range from $140 to $185 per night depending on the time of year and length of stay.

Sterling Bed and Breakfast

Sterling Bed and Breakfast is located in the Prospect Heights, Brooklyn neighborhood of New York City. It is walking distance to the Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the local Prospect Park. Inside there are two different rooms, each with a private bathroom, and then also a private cottage separate from the main house. Guests in any room get to enjoy the private garden, sitting parlor and breakfast room. Depending on the season, complimentary breakfast is offered to guests either in the breakfast room or outdoors in the garden. Mount Morris House is a bed and breakfast located in a Manhattan townhouse. The interior is historic and grand with rich red accents and mahogany banisters. All guests can enjoy the reception room and private garden. The guest rooms come complete with fireplaces, plasma televisions, DVD players and wireless Internet access. Rooms are suite-style with separate bed, dressing and bathroom areas totaling 500 square feet. There is also daily maid service and breakfast served in the dining room every morning. Rooms range from $175 to $375 per night, as of March 2010.
