Water Park Hotels in Calgary, Canada

Calgary is the largest city in Canada's Alberta Province and is home to the "Calgary Stampede," one of the world's most famous rodeo and horse shows. The "Stampede City" is also sought after for it's access to recreational sites in the Canadian Rockies, which is approximately 45 minutes away. Calgary also has its share of recreational activities within the city. An example of this are the water parks inside some of the hotels.

Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel

Sheraton Cavalier Calgary Hotel is located on 32nd Avenue in Calgary's Sundridge Industrial Park area, less than a mile east of the McCall Lake sports park. This park has paths for walking and jogging. Hotel amenities include a 24-hour exercise room, an onsite restaurant, Carver's Steakhouse, and the indoor water park, Oasis River Country. This water park features two giant water slides, saunas, children's pool and a snack bar cabana that overlooks the pool. All of the 306 guest rooms at Sheraton include a king-sized or queen-sized bed, while some rooms feature a sofa bed. All the rooms at Sheraton are completely smoke-free. Sheraton is within five miles of Nose Creek Park, a recreational area that rests on the Bow River. This outdoor site offers opportunities for fishing and boating. The hotel is also within 45 minutes of the East and West Jumpingpound Trails, which facilitates hiking and mountain biking.

Best Western Port O'Call Hotel

Best Western Port O'Call Hotel is situated on Calgary's McKnight Boulevard, less than five minute driving distance from Calgary International Airport. Amenities at the hotel include complimentary shuttle service to the airport, as well as an onsite restaurant, Destiny's, that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Waves, the hotel's indoor water park, is more than 8,000 square feet and features two water slides, a children's pool and two whirlpool tubs. Each of the 201 guest rooms have a microwave and refrigerator, while some rooms have a fireplace. Best Western is less than five miles from Nose Hill Park, an inner-city recreational area that provides jogging paths and facilities for picnics. The hotel is also within an hour of the nine-mile Telephone Trail, a cycling path that is located at the foothills of the Canadian Rockies.

Delta Calgary South

Delta Calgary South is an upbeat, contemporary-style hotel that rests on Southland Drive, approximately two miles west of Fish Creek Provincial Park, the largest urban park in Alberta. This recreational site offers chances for fishing in the Bow River, as well as trails for jogging and cycling. The hotel is also within 10 minutes driving distance from Glenmore Reservoir, a 467 square-mile lake that provides opportunities for boating excursions. Delta has amenities such as a conference center for meetings, an onsite fine dining establishment, Atrium Cafe, and the Indoor Tower swimming pool, which is adjacent to the heated "Big Gusher" water slide. All guest rooms at Delta include a 37-inch LCD television, queen-sized bed and a sofa bed. Some of the guest rooms feature a whirlpool tub. The suites at the hotel have separate dining room and living room areas.
