Brookfield also boasts a variety of educational and entertaining activities for children.

Lyman Orchards

Lyman Orchards has been operating for over 100 years, offering the freshest produce to locals. The orchard is an especially fun place for kids. Different seasons of the year, kids can pick their own fruit including strawberries, blueberries, 25 kinds of peaches, apples and pumpkins. Other events include a corn maze in the fall and sunflower maze in the summer. There are also children's apple pie workshops and an Easter hunt for apples.

Brookfield Parks and Recreation Day Camps

Children will find no shortage activities offered through Brookfield Parks and Recreation day camps. The camps accept elementary through high school children and include both half-day and full-day programs. Some of the physical activities include ballet, tennis, martial arts, ice skating and soccer. In addition, the camps offer arts and crafts, such as claymation, painting, and even a wizard school for budding magicians. Camps are run year-round.

Maritime Aquarium

A visit to the Maritime Aquarium is an ideal educational activity for kids. There are more than 1,000 animal species to observe including sharks, seals and sea turtles, as well as interactive exhibits and games. The museum also boasts an IMAX theater. In addition, there are special youth programs offered during the year, including a popular Pirate immersion camp.
