Gatlinburg, Tennessee, attracts vacationers from across the U.S. for its proximity to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the most visited National Park in the country. Encompassing more than 800 square miles, the park is home to black bears, elk, white-tailed deer, bats and hundreds of other species. Staying in the mountains is much more cozy when you have a wood-burning fireplace, and many Gatlinburg cabins offer just that, along with numerous other amenities.

Aunt Bug's Cabin Rentals

Aunt Bug's offers a variety of cabins with wood-burning fireplaces, from cozy one-bedroom cottages to expansive log-cabin homes that can sleep up to eight people. "Alone at Last II" is a cozy one-bedroom that sleeps up to four and lies next door to Gatlinburg Golf Course and seven miles from Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The cabin offers a full kitchen, pool table, Jacuzzi, two TVs, two DVD players and a washer and dryer.

"El Shaddai," a two-bedroom log cabin in the same complex, can sleep up to eight people and offers unobstructed mountain views. "El Shaddai" has a front porch with rocking chairs, and all the amenities of "Alone at Last II," and at both properties guests have access to the on-site seasonal outdoor pool. Many of Aunt Bug's cabin rentals allow pets.

American Mountain Rentals

Vacationers can find one- to five-bedroom cabins with wood-burning stoves through American Mountain Rentals. With a wooded view and close to Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge, "Bears Inn" sleep six and offers three bedrooms, a hot tub, full kitchen, large deck and washer and dryer. Guests also have access to three seasonal outdoor swimming pools, playgrounds, tennis courts and game rooms.

American Mountain's "A Place to Remember" is an expansive five-bedroom cabin that can sleep up to 14 people and overlooks Ober Gatlinburg Ski Lodge. Perfect for a retreat or reunion, this pet-friendly, three-story cabin offers mountain views, contemporary furnishings, large picture windows, a hot tub, a game room with a pool table and swimming pool access. The cabin also has a spacious kitchen and dining room, two decks and a gas grill. Some, but not all, of American Mountain Rentals' cabins allow pets.

Wildflower Mountain Rentals

Surrounded by hardwoods and fir trees, Wildflower Mountain Rentals' cabins lie off the beaten path in Gatlinburg, and all units have wood-burning fireplaces. For couples, the company offers intimate one- and two-room honeymoon cabins with decks and heart-shaped Jacuzzis. Larger groups can stay at Wildflower Mountain's two-bedroom, two-story log cabins, which feature an enclosed downstairs bedroom, a loft bedroom and a Jacuzzi. All cabins come with televisions and DVD players, fully-equipped kitchens and charcoal barbecue grills. Wildflower Mountain allows pets in select cabins.
