Mall of America
As the largest enclosed retail compound in the United States, Mall of America boasts over 520 specialty stores and approximately 60 restaurants. Major department stores like Macy's, Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's can all be found at the mall. Popular restaurants include the Rainforest Café and Tucci Benucch. It also boasts the Nickelodeon Universe theme park with seven acres of rides and the Underwater Adventures aquarium. Boundary Waters Canoe Area
Boundary Waters Canoe Area offers 1,500 miles of water routes for kayaks and canoes. There are over 1,000 lakes and streams--and over 2,200 campsites. In the Superior National Forest you'll find many fishing spots and miles of trails for hiking and biking. Ski trails open during the winter at the first sign of snow. Wildlife in the area includes eagles, wolves and loons. Visitors also enjoy the opportunity for berry picking during the summer. Blueberry picking locations can be found throughout the forest. The Boundary Waters Canoe Area requires permits for both overnight and day visits. It is open year round and is located in Duluth, Minnesota.

Minnesota State Fair
The Minnesota State Fair offers 12 days of entertainment, competitions and rides. It is the largest fair in Minnesota and offers free live music. It also hosts a horse shows at the Coliseum and additional live music at the Grandstand. The Minnesota State Fair has an adventure park with roller coasters, water rides and go carts. A talent contest is held annually at the fair along with a 5k Milk Run.
