Columbus Zoo
Named the best zoo in the country by USA Travel Guide, Columbus Zoo has earned a worldwide reputation, largely through the fame of its director emeritus, Jack Hanna. Spread over 580 acres, the Columbus Zoo features more than 5,000 animals. Impressive exhibits include the 88,000 gallon saltwater aquarium, the Asian Quest exhibit, the gorilla house and Manatee Coast, which works to rejuvenate injured manatees.

National Museum of the Air Force
The National Museum of the Air Force is located at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base immediately outside of Dayton, Ohio. The exhibits are impressive to say the least. Fascinating for adults and any child in love with large machines, the Air Force Museum features more than 400 flying machines. Everything from the earliest days of flight to the space program can be found in this fascinating museum. Plus, the museum is free.

Cedar Point
