Golden Gates, a lively Russian/Eastern-European restaurant in the Somerton section of Northeast Philadelphia, will have diners reaching for their dancing shoes. After dining from the authentic Russian banquet menu featuring blinis, pirogues and chicken Kiev, guests can enjoy the live band and have a twirl on the dance floor. The restaurant is open seven days a week from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m. Reservations are preferred.

Lanjeron, a popular Northeast Philadelphia restaurant fuses Russian and French cuisine to deliver a memorable meal. Its pan European menu includes appetizers, such as potato crosstini with red or black caviar and tuna tartar. Tournedos of filet mignon with goose liver, grilled quail foie gras and Chilean sea bass are three of the entrees offered at Lanjeron. If diners are looking for a lighter meal, they can choose from the selections of crepes, soups and salads on offer. Reservations are preferred at this restaurant. Lanjeron features live international music every Saturday and Sunday night. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Friday from 12:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday to Sunday from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. and closed on Mondays.

High-end, authentic northern Italian cuisine can be found in the Fox Chase section of Northeast Philadelphia at he Moonstruck Restaurant. This restaurant opened in 1979. Its two-course menu features dishes, such as Tortelloni di Biete, ravioli filled with ricotta, mascarpone and swiss chard in a tomato and basil sauce, as an opener. To follow, guests may choose from a range of beef, veal, chicken and seafood entrees, such as Noci di Manzo, a grilled beef nodini with gorgonzola cheese, crispy potato cake and grilled radicchio. A fixed price menu is available on Saturdays between 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. Attire is upscale but no jacket is required. The restaurant is open from Monday through Thursday from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations can be made online via the restaurant website.
