For women who run, one of the most important considerations in clothing is breast protection. Proper fit, support and comfort must be priorities when choosing the best sports bra. A well-designed sports bra will reduce the excessive motion and alleviate the possibility of unnecessary pain, stretching and sagging.

Champion Action Shape

The Champion Action Shape is designed with larger breasts in mind. This bra is an effective choice for distance running as it offers a snug fit and motion control. Features include a stabilizing rib band, a CoolMax cotton/polyester inner bra and a nylon/lycra spandex wing. Fabrics used for this model are gentle against the skin, though this fabric combination may mean wicking is lessened. This model is meant to be worn underneath another garment. Sizes run 32 to 34 C/D and 42 to 44 D/DD.

Nike Revolutionary Support Bra

Nike's Revolutionary Support Bra is designed for medium to large breasts. The bra's support system of 10 shoulder-strap and five chest-strap settings make it useful for a variety of applications. Other features include a 360-degree exoskeleton for individual support around each breast, bonded seams, a Dri-Fit polyester/spandex outer layer, polyester/spandex cup, a liner using Dri-Fit polyester and spandex knit and polyurethane bonding laminate. This bra can be worn without a shirt. Sizes run 34 B to 38 D.

Moving Comfort Cameo Racer Back

Moving Comfort designed the Cameo Racer Back for small to medium breasts. The bra is an efficient choice for any high-impact fitness activity, including running. Features include wicking fabrics such as a DriLayer Power polyester/spandex body, polyester/spandex spacer interior cups and micro polyester/spandex back lining. The bra also has a racer back design and attractive seams manufactured for a snug fit. This bra can be worn without a shirt. Sizes run 32 to 38 A, B and C.
