Jasper, Arkansas, is a small town situated on the Little Buffalo River in the Ozark National Forest area. This town provides a respite for guests who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as canoeing, kayaking, hiking, mountain biking and fishing. There are also swimming holes and waterfalls dotting the Little Buffalo River and the Ozarks. Guests will find several hotels and motels in Jasper where they can relax between outings.

The Arkansas House

The Arkansas House is a historic resort located in Jasper, Arkansas. It is less than ten miles from the Buffalo National Park and Ozark National Forest, which provide a wealth of opportunities for hiking, rock climbing, canoeing and kayaking. It is also just steps from the Boardwalk Café, Jasper's organic restaurant, which features selections such as buffalo steaks, elk burgers and shrimp creole. Wireless Internet access is available in each of the three guest rooms and two suites. This hotel does not accept pets.

The Front Porch Inn

The Front Porch Inn is located on Route 7 in Jasper, directly across from the Newton County Courthouse. Visitors are less than a 15-minute drive from the Ozark Mountains, where they can hike through scenic trails or enjoy fishing on calm lake waters. This hotel is about 50 miles from Branson Airport in Missouri. The Front Porch Inn is next to the Ozark Café, a restaurant serving burgers, salads, breakfast items and steaks. The hotel's three suites are nonsmoking, although guests may smoke on the balcony. Pets are not permitted at the Front Porch Inn.

Riverview Motel and Canoe

The Riverview Motel and Canoe is situated on the banks of the Little Buffalo River. It is within walking distance of Bradley Park and Jasper Square. This motel features canoe rental, which makes it convenient for guests to explore the Little Buffalo River at their leisure. The canoe livery also supplies paddles and life jackets. The Riverview Motel has a seasonal outdoor pool where guests can unwind after a day of exploring the Ozark Mountains. According to hotel staff, pets are not allowed at this motel.
