Seneca, South Carolina, the largest in Oconee Country, is nestled in the northwestern corner of the state among the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The city is also due north of Lake Hartwell. If you're looking for log cabins, you'll find six options to choose from about 16 miles from the center of Seneca, with Mountain Rest Cabins and Campground. These cabins are classified as either chalets or cottages, and can sleep from four to 11 people. Each chalet come equipped with a full kitchen, full bathroom, central heating and air conditioning, any necessary linens, and, outside, a fire ring and picnic table. The cottages also feature bathrooms and full kitchens, as well as VCRs, TVs, stereos, picnic tables, fire rings and barbecue grills.

Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins

Another option not far from Seneca is the Lake Hartwell Camping & Cabins. While some might find this to be a less intimate option, each cabin is spacious, as is the space between them. This business features seven cabins and one rustic cabin. The premium cabins sleep up to six while the cottage sleeps four and the rustic cabin sleeps up to three. All cabins have a fire ring outside and most of them boast a grill.
